Originally from Kent, our Executive Head Chef, Simon Caple has started his career in small country hotels when he was about 20 years old. Later on, he moved to London and worked in fine dining restaurants and corporate such as Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan or Casanove. Through the years, he has worked with famous Chefs such as Michel Roux Jr and Marco Pierre White. Finally his passion for organic and healthy food drove him to the challenging position of Executive Head Chef at City Hall.
Chef Simon joined Eligo Team at City Hall in 2013 and started a food revolution. Working closely with the GLA, his main goal has been to build a sustainable and healthy offer with the most competitive prices for a central London café.
London's Kitchen and Eligo have signed the Healthier Catering Commitment in November 2012 and has reduced the amount of saturated fat, sugar and salt in all the food. On top of that, Chef Simon won the Bronze Catering Mark and he’s now chasing for the GOLD!
